Hotels with littles

Maybe I’m overthinking it, but how do you handle hotels so that the kids can sleep safely? I have a 2 year old and an 8 month old who both have those gated floor beds with rails and the idea of them sleeping on a raised bed without rails terrifies me. I really want to take a little family vacation to a hotel in town but cannot wrap my head around how to do it so they can sleep and nap…any tips are appreciated!

If they are used to floored, get a kinder mat for the 2 year old for sure. Try using it at home first and decide if you feel comfortable with it for the 8 month old. Most hotels will loan a crib or pack n play if you request it when booking so that might work for the younger one.

We stayed in a singapore family friendly hotel and it was perfect with our toddler. The staff were super sweet with kids, and the play area and splash zone kept our little one entertained. They even had a baby food corner at breakfast, which made things so much easier. We booked a family suite and it came with kid-sized furniture, books, and toys, which was a huge hit.
